Personally Identifiable Information
Personally identifiable information may be requested by, and can be provided to, Accreditation Assistance Access Centre (AAAC) via our various methods of Contact. This information will not be sold or distributed for reasons of profit in any way shape or form, and will only be provided to third parties if it is absolutely necessary to resolve user concerns. If contact of or with a third party is necessary, the user will be advised of the potential release of his/her information and will be allowed the opportunity to approve or decline such release of his/her information. Personally identifiable information remains the property of users at all times.
Confidentiality
AAAC strives to ensure complete confidentiality in e-mail, telephone, fax, and all other forms of communication concerning AAAC and related services. However, there are circumstances outside of the control of AAAC which may lead to a breach of security. These breaches include, but are not limited to, interception of Internet e-mail, telephone signals and faxes; forgery of said communications; and computer virii, malicious service interruptions or similar compromise of AAAC and/or other computers. AAAC will not be held liable for loss or damage incurred its users or any third parties as a result of breach of confidentiality for factors beyond the control of AAAC.
Cookies
AAAC does not use "cookies" or other tracking devices to gather personally identifiable information on Internet users. A cookie is used for the purposes of tracking general demographic visitor information, such as referring websites, country/province of origin, and pages visited, but does not collect or maintain any information that can identify an individual user, his/her precise location, and his/her activities.
Submission of Related Resources and Other Information
Third parties may wish to submit information that pertains to its services to AAAC if they feel the information is relevant to AAAC users. All information submitted by third parties to AAAC that is to be published on aaacentre.ca shall be considered, and therefore remain the intellectual property of, the AAAC. AAAC shall be free to use this information for purposes that can reasonably be determined are of benefit to its users in any manner AAAC sees fit. AAAC reserves the right to publish and disseminate any non-confidential information that is gathered as a direct or indirect result of initial contact of AAAC by a third party, unless otherwise specified and agreed to by AAAC or publication of said information is deemed to be in breach of legal statutes and precedents.
